Projects That Matter: Environmental & Social Impact
Making a positive impact is at the heart of what we do. From converting animal waste into clean biogas to supporting communities during floods, these projects showcase our dedication to sustainable innovation and meaningful social responsibility.
Social Responsibility: Standing with Our Communities
Being a responsible corporate citizen means more than running a sustainable business—it means standing beside our communities when they need us most. Whether responding to natural disasters or addressing long-term infrastructure challenges, we believe in taking action that creates lasting positive change. Here are some of the ways we've supported our neighboring communities in times of need.
Reviving a Village's Lifeline:
When severe drought struck Krishnagiri District in 2019, Hanumanthapuram village residents approached our Managing Partner, Mr. Jeevandas Rai, to help desilt their 24-acre village lake—a critical water source choked with sediment.
After securing District Administration permission, we deployed two earth movers for 40 days in August-September 2019. The lake was completely desilted and its bunds strengthened. The impact was transformative: during the next rainy season, the lake filled to capacity and groundwater levels surged from 1,000 feet to 200 feet. Today, it remains a vital irrigation source for local farms.
Feeding Families Through the Floods: When devastating floods struck Thiruvallur District in 2016, we distributed food packets to affected families in villages around Mafuskhanpet for three days, utilizing 2 metric tons of rice and 1.5 metric tons of vegetables.
Restoring Water After Cyclone Vardha: Cyclone Vardha devastated Chennai's eastern coast in December 2016, leaving suburban families without power—and drinking water—for weeks. We transported generators village to village on tractors, operating motors and pumps to fill overhead tanks. We maintained uninterrupted drinking water supply to families in Pudukuppam, Mafuskhanpet, Mullavoil, and surrounding villages until power was restored.
